TOYS IN THE DARK

TOYS IN THE DARK

Sparkling eyes stare at me asleep,
I feel them boring into me.

They might only be toys,
But they really do scare me.

I want my Mum,
But my mind won’t run,
I’ll stay tucked up asleep.

My heart beats fast,
Will it be my last?
I’ll have to wait and see.

Plastic man falls to the floor,
Or did he jump as I snore?
It is a mystery.

I hear nothing but the clock,
Tick-tock-tick-tock-tick-tock,

Is the Action Man smiling…?
Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock.
