When I need a friend to talk to You're just a phone call away; When I need a shoulder to cry on You always say it's okay. You know the way I feel- It's like you can read my mind; Our friendship means alot to me Because good friends are hard to find. The kind that will sit and listen Or give advice when you need them to; Someone to say you can count on- That person just happens to be you. You know where I'm coming from Because you've been through it before; You're not just any friend- You mean a great deal more. You're the only one I can rely on To be there through thick and thin; With a best friend like you I know I'll always win. The daily trials I go through Seem to get harder everyday; But with you to always turn to I now can honestly say: No matter what the time of day There's one thing I can always do; I can pick up the phone and call Because my best friend is you. -Brandie White Partin-
Reason for writing:
This was written to my sister-in-law, Reta, because no matter what problems I'm having, I can always talk to her. She understands what I'm going through because she has dealt with many of the same problems. So this was just a small way to tell her thanks for always being there for me.
