I love you, More than the Sea, which gives life. I love you, More than the Earth, which I have lived on forever. I love you, More than the roses that prove your love. I love you, More than the Moon, which I see spill on your skin when we’re together. I love you, More than the Sun, which has warmed your skin when I couldn’t. I love you, More than the Stars we kissed under for the first time. I love you, When you whisper into my ear. I love you, When you hold me close when I’m sad. I love you, When you whisper what I’m whispering now. I love you, More than words can truly say. I love you, With my whole heart. And a little more each day.
Reason for writing:
I wrote this after being with my boyfriend when he was in the hospital nearby. We were together for only a little bit...but that little bit was enough to make this poem!
