Meaningless fireworks embossed- By the cool breeze in moonlight love- Once, in that winter sky- All other hopeless nights- Were slowly stolen way- In a waltz- Of love, truth, and happiness- It was age 12 when I was caught by a glimpse- It sent a chill that felt good down my spine- Some secret whisper reminded me to pay attention- It knew my eyes were still fresh, seeing the world through adulterated lenses- -Now, if I can find that place again- ------------------------------------- -Now, if I can find that place again- I don’t know why men seize the truth- To heed more lies- As the scarlet sunset reminds us of the higher ground- It also reminds of the suffering sky above those trampled- Underfoot-Birth sign: Libra
