No more
   checking myself
in the mirror
 of other people

Putting down the scissors
  and the measuring tape
Picking up my life

Stop the pushing
  from the inside
and let it all settle
  into it's place

No more
  scraping away
fleshy layers
  trading it in for
scar tissue

Settling into
my own skin.
