Whats the use In asking why Whats the meaning Of the tears I'll cry I'm not gonna talk About the pain we both have been thru' I wasn't the one to walk Turning my back on you But what can i say All the games have been played I've reached the end of the line Save your self, we've run out of time Only one of us can win Only one of us can lose I bet it all on happiness Now only the gods can choose No, I shouldn't feel bitter You are here to shake my hand How could we be fooled so easily Into thinking that this was the promised land A lover for a friend But too much stands in our way Alas, the rules can not bend I'll leave remorse for anouther day Only one of us could win Only one of us could lose I lost it all on loving you Now only the gods can choose So whats the use? In knowing why Where's the meaning? Of the tears we will cry.
