A DAY TO REMEMBER
Occurring before the catastrophe
America went about their day
In the utmost familiar way.
The news came out a little after eight
And all we could do is stand by and wait.
The twins of Manhattan have been corrupted
And all sorts of havoc just erupted.
Many of our friends and family were living in fear.
Innocent bystanders couldn’t believe what they could hear.
Quickly the search and rescue was put into gear.
Many people were ripped apart
By this horrid tragedy
Felt in America’s heart.
Smiles are hard to find these days
From those who lost loved ones dear.
Many kids still cry at night
Wishing their parents were still near.
We started that day extremely divided
We witnessed our self come together
We stand united.
There is one thing certainly sure
We won’t give up
We’ll win this war!!
