life shines through candle light

by cipher - Aries

vanilla scented candles,
surround me in my room,
shadows of things once been,
across the wall are strewn,
shadows of things, alive never again,
this walk has turned into a crawl,

as i watch the flames,
slowly melt away the substance of my life,
i tilt the candle...to the slightest degree,
and watch as the wax,
selas itself to my arm,
creating yet another layer of protection,
keeping me from harm,

as the wic furthers its decent,
flikering from lack of oxygen,
i feel my own lungs tighten,
dakness fills the room,
i never knew i could be this fightened,

a thin trail of smoke,
floats away towards heaven,
the flames been extinguished,
the wwax begins to harden,
leaving the mighty flame just a memory,
theres no longer substance....
to maintain this fire...
