Self-appointed savior of the world

by Beth - Scorpio

Shoulders
heavy and weary
from taking in
all the pain
of the world....
Fighting myself
combating the violence
and disharmony
that threatens to
destroy all that we
know
Understanding that
the root of all evil
is the same
everywhere you go

The price we pay
for being human
the price I pay
for caring

Have to tell myself
I am NOT
a
Powerpuff girl.

Reason for writing:

Okay, this is NOT really a serious piece...I know that one or two of you will know EXACTLY what I am saying...it's kind of a private joke turned poetic dribble.
