life gives you what you got
and all the wishing in the world
won't change the stock
Eventually
you'll have know there's a difference
between being lonely
and being alone
figure out why
you're scared to be without
a distraction
maybe this is your opportunity
to get to know the one person
you shouldn't be ignoring
you'll have to acknowledge
the fact
that just because
you held onto the razor blade
before
does not mean
you should still be squeezing it
in the palm of your hand
Reason for writing:
I've been following Chicks poems lately, and it really makes me sad that you're not able to get over this guy. I'm sure you know deep down that you aren't alone, but I'm sure it feels like you are. Sometimes you have to change your way of thinking before the world starts to change...that's hard though...I know. But honestly, I can't believe you find enough comfort in this pain to keep holding onto it. Sorry for the unsolicited advice...I would just like to see you start to feel better about life. You deserve to have a better attitude and to be happy.
