Lemon Tree, My Child

by S. L. Butterworth - Pisces

Lemon tree, whose roots go so deep.
Drop your fruit which is oh so bitter.
never be ashamed of what you are.
Playful playful.
You are not playful.
You cannot smile,
or bounce with glee.
Try not, be not.
You can love,
gold drops in the spring drop from your branches.
Do not withhold your love.
Yellow yellow.
you are brave,
do not forget to have courage.
Harden the wood at your heart.
Be not afraid.
Helpful helpful,
assist those you don't know,
when they are afraid, and you are not.
Clearly clearly,
keep your actions pure,
Great pillars of deftness.
that shine like the sun,
and can guide the way.
Be only what you want to be,
but you will be all this someday.
