Bleeding Dawn

by PunkyThespian - Libra

Bleeding Dawn

I pray for dawn…
Here in this,
My place of dying.

All around me,
Sounds of horror,
Sounds…
     Of souls,
Anguished and broken
Echo in the distance.
They draw close,
     Ever nearing
My crumpled form.

And the blood,
Yes, the blood…
Seeps through my fingers;
Invisible to my sightless eyes
It drowns my screams
And submerges them…
Deep within my very being.

And now,
Before the sun
Can take its place,
        The screams;
Draw ever near…
I feel them here,
The fallen ones.

And I bleed…
Oh yes,
	I bleed.
