it was like seeing
seeing on the inside of lakewater
the underside of the palm of your hand
to watch the infant swim
to see them kick
to watch red blood cells
falling like diamonds
scorching retina with morning light
it was like seeing, for the first time
all over again
inside myself, suspended above my head
to watch my innards
dance above and see the cathedral
of the heart explode
bursting like a sonic boom
WIDE OPEN!!!!! and there i am
iniside my beating center,
falling like diamonds into me
being there
finally once again seeing
