COASTAL TOWN

by markwells - Scorpio

COASTAL TOWN

With bread I coaxed the seagulls down,
It seemed every gull arrived in the sleepy town.
It was like a scene from the film the Birds,
I was amazed and totally lost for words.
There cries like a child mixed with the onrushing sea,
And the gentle rustling of wind tickled trees.
A lighthouse beacon wards from afar,
An airplane path leaves a wispy scar.
The hillside alive with cows agraze,
Bathed in the suns beauty casting her rays.
Seaware stuck on the saturated sand,
Food for gulls on a dreamy land.

Reason for writing:

MY HOLIDAY ENJOYED IT SO MUCH.
