Toronto Spring

by mannlu - Aquarius

Toronto Spring,
The smell of rotting birdseed singe the air
Song birds scurring to & fro
Parcelling nesting territory
Nest building, feasting on fresh earthworms
Fending off Pirate Birds & Cats!
Beaver busy foraging in Ashbridges Bay
Swallows chasing insects low over Lake Ontario
Dog chasing a swan for fun!
Pintails & Cormorants and ducks straying further offshore
As sailors hoist their sails & begin to rev their motors!
Daffodils, grass, tulips and ladybugs all greet the stirring springtime
Shorts, Bikinis & rollerblades sing around the community!
Rejoice, Spring has arrived in full bloom north of the 49th!

Reason for writing:

Sounds & awakenings of spring encourage & inspire my muse!
