I Miss You Pat

by Amanda Jenniges - Pisces

When I first met you,
You were so sweet,
But now I miss you,
Where did we meet.

I now remember,
You were drunk,
We were at Papa's party,
Papa wanted to put you in a trunk.

I sure do miss you now,
You left in such a hurry,
You don't know this,
But now I worry.

Mainly about you and me,
People say you didn't care,
I didn't know what to do,
So I thought I would share.

The Stories between you and me,
They just weren't meant to be,
I miss you very much,
But I have got to set you free.

Reason for writing:

When i Was 14 years old my best friend gotinto a car accident and killed himself. He rolled his car and flew out the window and hit his head on a rock and he died. This a poem that I wrote all about him. a poem that I thought was perfect. At the time i wrote this poem i was 14. On OCT. 17 1999 is when he died. I love him with all my heart but it is time to set him free. I have held on to him for 3 years, it is time to set him free.
