Ben I sat at my computer trying to write I don’t know what I wanted to write about Writing is supposed to come from the heart And I was at a loss of what to say Then I remembered something My friend My best friend Ben It’s harder than you think to find a best friend Someone that you can trust with everything you have Writing a poem about my friend Ben A guy that lives life how it’s supposed to be lived Lay back and enjoy That’s what you could say about him Or you could say that he’s just a guy that’s searching for something No one can replace a best friend I always thought that I would leave here and find someone new But no, a best friend is here to stay Ben will be in my heart As time progresses, the friendship will grow apart Yet grow stronger Remember your best friend as long as you shall live Your best friend will be the one there for you in times of need Today I lost someone A friend And he was there to save my day A day that will be remembered throughout my life Not because my friend died but because he was there Ben was there Meet Ben Always in my heart and in my mind My best friend Kevin A. I just started writing so much more about this friend that has changed my life in a way that was not otherwise possible than any other person.
