Bullshit and Broken Dreams

by Twan - Aries

(antwan fields)
religion a bust, they turn to mud slinging
defy the pain that a man should be bringing
define real and try to make sure
that everyone will be for real real pure
lie to me, tell me that i am going to hell
for you will be there with me as far as i can tell
what do you think that collar makes you, invincible??
does that then make you convinceable??
to the idea that a priest can be but fake
to those young altarboys who they put on the make??
the scandal something we've all known for years
the church beginning to recognize all their fears
as the flock begins to turn away on a long and lonesome highway
new horrors coming to light every other day and they fade out the game is for chumps and when they get caught
they find some fool who just wants to get bought
out of the closets and into the streets and into the churches and into the light
what happens in the rectory in the coming night??

(jack daniels)
there's been so much darkness
since the begining of time
i can no longer seem to see
what was your's or mine
the church spires glisten
with forbidden fruit
turn your head and listen:
screams of nocturnal pleasure
sodomy and pure lust
a vicar abusing his trust
burning altars and smoking pews
nothing to save me or you
evil comes in many forms
or so you say
when the boys are all battered and torn
is it the lords way?
Your soul he cleans
the words he says are serpants
dragging you closer to the fever
everything is bullshit and broken dreams
once you walk out that door
he'll never forgive no more
and you don't know what it means
but it's bullshit and broken dreams.

they think we have no idea
but we do thats what they fear
examine the weirdness with the high-high beams
took forever to reveal the bullshit and forget the broken dreams.
