Fading Memories

by orange_4_m - Sagittarius

The memories are fading fast.
Faster than the pictures on the wall.
When I close my eyes, I try so hard,
To remember it all.
But I can see, it wasn't meant to be,
Our world, now exists as two.
I can't hold on to the memories,
Just like I couldn't hold on to you.

I found the best love in you,
And I dont know wether to be sad.
That I will find someone else,
To complete me more than you had.
Or that you will be the one,
That I compare to every new love.
And no matter what they do or say,
I wont find one that is good enough.

But, with all my selfishness aside,
I truly wish happiness for you.
May all the stars you wish on her,
Make your dreams come true.
And don't dwell on memories,
If your love with her would end.
I found out the hard way:
To be a lover, first, you must be a friend.
