Burn.

by Tenna D. - Sagittarius

I hated you.
burning at me like a raging fire
red life coursing through my veins
un-ending my sorrow
penting up every feeling I've ever known.

My soul has been long charred
by your unfeeling, unforgiving fingers.
I wonder if this really is what hell feels like
eternal burning
searing
pain
burning deep within me.
Scarring so deeply
blinding me with pain.
I will soon find out.

Every memory I've ever known
burned deep within those searing flames
you produced for me so long ago.

My lifes work
all my hopes
my dreams
thrown in like firewood
decaying away
licked by the orange tongue of your hate for me
touched, cursed by it's white-hot fingers.

Crackling
the smell of fire and ash
entwined together as one
the steady line of smoke
hazy fog
and shattered dreams
steadily streaming up
over the stars.

Every happiness ever known to me
swallowed whole into the gaping mouth of flames
you made for me
and as I watched
you watched.

we waited, waited helplessly
Until the glowing embers of the hungry fire died
leaving nothing more of my life
than smouldering, lifeless charcoal
blackened and fragile to the wind
unable to cry
smelling of the sweet scent of fire
of the sweet flames it had been engulfed with...
and the lingering scent of revenge.

Reason for writing:

My sister did something bad...very bad.
