You push her around like she's a rag doll A cotton stuffed play toy without a heart Emotionally abused by your plastered outbreaks Wishing she could forget you but not knowing where to start. You shove your selfless criticisms in her face Her eyes bouncing back beams of pain that you can't see Beating her down with your thoughtless explosions Scared, she walks on cracked ground and follows your lead. You throw her life aside like she's a distraughted puzzle Expecting her knees to bleed as she bows down to you on the floor Laughing inward at the chained beauty you have within your sight Drained from your power, she clings to you now, even more. You blind her with fake smiles and tempting sorrowful woes Spouting I love yous yet you won't take her back Handling a fragile creature as if she were unbendable steel I wish she had the strength to leave you and what you lack.
Reason for writing:
- I got the idea for this in psychology class. The characters are Jessica and Zack. They've split up after a year and so many months of being together. He is now with someone else, however, he still leads Jessica around like she's his. I was very tempted to just get out of my seat and lay that boy flat out today for some of the things he said, but, I know it's not my place. -Birth sign: Pisces
