Late at night I walk alone, Thinking about life and what it will hold. Moonlight shadows the pavement on the streets, And presents to the world the real me. Me, that is so dark, vague and unclear. Me, that feels so alone year after year. Me, that harbors frightening thoughts inside. Me, that is faceless with the midnight light. My shoes scuff gently as I head down paths, Hinting the other me where to bring his wrath. Tried and true he is always near, Step for step, year after year. His size fluctuates depending where he floats. Miniscule or cosmic, pain is always the same dose. Late at night I walk with me. Maybe late some night he will let me be.Birth sign: Leo
