Her eyes remind me of the new morning’s dew,
They sparkle with the simplicity of honesty and value.
Hold me and you’ll see the miracle inside,
Of what I have to offer, it is yours if you like…
When she speaks I hear her song,
She is the one that I have waited for so long.
Her heart warms my fingers down to my toes,
She is my prayer that only god knows.
Grandma, I know you’re up there listening to me,
I know you know this woman you sent freely.
If only you were here in this world,
I would thank you now and for all of eternity.
Beautiful and graceful is her nature in life,
People around her smile because of her contagious light.
Although I know I cannot see them, but they’re there,
Her wings surround me when I am in despair.
Never before have I ever desired something so much,
To be given butterflies by her loving touch.
To say I like this woman would not be enough,
But to love her is the only word I would trust.
She could never be distinguished as one of the guys,
She will always be much more in my life.
She is my,
My angle in disguise.
Reason for writing:
Wrote this poem about a young woman, for which at the time I thought she was the true love of my life. I only wished she could've felt the same way about me.
