The more distance he puts between them
The more she hangs on by a thread
The more he ignores her
The more she tries to stay in his head
The more he lets go of his emotional baggage
The more her emotional appetite needs to be fed
The more he tries to lead her in the right direction
The more she is misled
The more he say he's trying to save her from the pain
The more it seems like there was nothing said
The more she tries to convince him that their love is alive
  and well
The more he is convinced that it's gone and dead
Every step he takes to get away from her
She takes 2 steps to get closer, more tears shed
Every step he take to keep her away
The more sleep she lose, eyes bloodshot red
She can't get a grip on her own life
Cause she desparately wants to be his wife
