So much of nothing
Falling into something...
I watched him
As he
Wandered about
My room
Spilling out
Words of dirt
That I piled
Upon the screen
His voice
So brilliant
I could only
Think of the
Way it made
Me want
To erase all
The ugliness
He's seen
And I know
There was
Something there
But maybe it was
Nothing
And I watched
Him laying across
My bed
Reminding me
Of better times
When his eyes
Reflected all he
Held for me
That is so far
Gone
And I didn't care
Anymore about
Reason
All I wanted was
For him to
Stay
But there was no turning
Nothing into something
So fuck it
I thought as
He wandered around
My room
Looking at my ex's
Things
He thinks I
Am still someone
Else's
Marked my law
And circumstance
And no words
Nor arms could
Force that thought
Away
And something tells me
That maybe
I should have told
Him
That together
We could be so
Powerful
We could tear
Down circumstance
And destroy all
That comes between
Us
That all it would
Take is one word
One chance
And it is all in
His hands
To stop us from
Becoming
So much of something
Falling into nothing
But all I can do
Is wait
