The Rusty Reds Of A Barren Sea

by Dark Angel (The Original) - Pisces

Dark cirrus clouds of silver lighting grey,
Smoke wearily over a mist covered horizon
Shrouding autumns kiss of death dispersed patterns,
Leading summers vegetative greens to bronze and wizen.

Centered upon a hidden hilltop clearing,
Poised stationary on an ancient forest green mound
Rests an old oak dressed with times deteriorating weatherment,
And a secrets hidden tragedy housed beneath clay earthed ground.

Widened strenghtly from years of soiled establishment,
The oaks sienna bark branches flourish subtly in the breeze
Silently dropping the life of springs abandonment,
Plummeting into the endless array of a rusty reds barren sea.

Dressed to match with mother natures painted elegance
The small boy tugs at a string dangling from the hood of his coat
His chocolate lab onlooking inquisitive of his actions
Shielding the chilled wind a knots tied at the mid of his throat.

Perched below the outgrowth of the oaks forsaken lair
The two stand side by side overlooking a granite stone
Reflecting back on last Autumns still unforgiven punishment
When both learned of caring and the struggles of suffering alone.

Quietly brushed aside, the turning memories of a haunted season
The young boy lounges against depressions birth so wide
His tears plummeting into the endless array of a rusty reds barren sea
With a chocolate lab for comfort and a fathers soul resting side by side.
