Caffinated Dreams

by PunkyThespian - Libra

The man stands alone by the edge of the world where the water rises and falls, capturing his feet for moments and breathing moisture into his spirit. He is surrounded by a planet he loves but stands alone. From his empty suitcase he seels to dreams. and though he tells stories of storms and dark clouds - above shines the sun of a home that is proud. He raises his hand as though to wipe a tear from his eye but instead he smiles and waves goodbye.

The child stands on a cliff with blood on her hands. The blood of her innocence, lost into the depths of a world that can be so dark. She thinks her dreams will never collide with earth but orbit out of reach of mortal hands. Thoughts burrow deep inside her - how? why? when? where? questions with no answers. Her youth allows no comprehension that her existence is the answer to so many questions and the dream beyond reach of those around her.

The woman sits surrounded by her life of warmth and caffeine. She smiles from her eyes and whispers with her soul as if to deafen and blind the world with beauty. She does not accept our world for what it is but for what she is within hers; a kindred spirit sheltered by her heart from the storms that rage outside her coffee shop window.
