Laughing, playing and holding each other What happened to when we loved one another? Replaced now with hatred, sorrow and pain No more compliments, all we do is complain. And our outburst of anger, moments of rage Aren’t justified by the reasons we gave. Blaming each other like children do You hurting me for me hurting you. Life seems so dark and gray, full of confusion Can’t find a way out or the solution. To all the abuse that now fills our days Because we refuse to change our ways. As for our children, did we not realize? That these precious souls have become traumatized. By all of our battles... win, lose or draw Through all of the violence and fighting they saw. It’s far too late to turn back now Loving each other, we forgot how It’s time to think now of our little ones Let’s do what’s best for our daughters and sons.
