it is a fugue state
petals and pain
beaches in the moonlight
sand stuck between our toes
there is no real place left to go
and the drinks are dry again in our
throats.
pale and bitter
the expanse of ocean laps so carefully
i wonder if there is a sea beneath your
eyes. waiting
for me to drown, specifically to
your needs.
flowers dance with a breeze, and
far away a streetside vendor speaks
your
name. barrels of confusion spill,
and i stumble out, eyes unused
to the brightness. sand in my visions.
the perpetual envelope engulfs
an effigy left by the milleneum babies
a prodigy of parallels disembarked
petals and pain, lost in the atmosphere
our hands locked against everything
except the electric impulse to scream and
decipher.
a trinity in two
dueting in the chaos.
