The Rules Have Changed

by Twan - Aries

The rules have finally given way
no more will I obey them on this day
I take my own time, I walk along the same path I did before
Uneducated, Unemployed, Unappreciated, no more!
No more will I allow you to dictate
My rules, my pleasure, my faith, and my fate
You can go screw, and while you're at it, take me along
It feels so right, goddamnit, Its not wrong
Your rules bind me no more, your contempt has no effect
because the rules have changed, you can't protect
The fight has begun, but its just about done
because no one cares, you haven't won
I can get married, eventually I will
and to whoever I choose, can you swallow that pill?
Your discrimination isn't going to work, not this time or ever
You misjudged the aim, now you've got bad weather
Evil will be stopped, Fred Phelps is dead,
Now rejoice, good people, the monster is not fed
The trolls remain under the bridge
and now they walk the plank and fall off the ridge
Thank you all for understanding, but the best part's yet to come
Watching fairness triumph, and stupidity over dumb.
