Broken Wings

by Charles Mathew Tyner III - Scorpio

I see what goes on in this day in age.
Everyone blinded by their own hatred and rage.
I look at the things within the news.
I think to myself, "What if that was you?"
Would I seek revenge so hard, I'd kill a whole race?
Could I really eradicate an innocent face?
World Trade, Pentagon, now they want to care.
Where were they in the dire times of despair?
Now, as a whole, we seek redemption and blood.
Well, go over there and start pumping slugs.
For the consequence of your actions wont pertain to me.
Because I forgave those who transgressed against me.
So go eradicate the Afghanistanian race.
It'll sure keep a smile on George Bush's face.
Or you can forgive and forget, go on with your lives.
Instead of letting the rage take hold which I see within your eyes.
Americans are supposed to be a lot better than this.
But they're ready to kill as soon as they get pissed.
I won't contribute to all of these negative things.
So do as you please as I fly away upon my broken wings.

Reason for writing:

This world and the people have become lustful for death. I wish to have no part in it and I wash my hands with the government. Our actions make us look blood thirsty and I know we all aren't.
