DARKNESS IN GUJARAT Come let’s destroy the country Let us dig graves all over Come let’s dynamite the houses Let us give guns to every child Come let’s mine the streets Let us raze villages to the ground Come let’s throw out all the books Let us re-write history Come let’s sow hatred in every heart Let us grow trees of destruction everywhere Come let’s loot our bodies and rape each other Let us draw contours for earthquakes Come let’s gather coffins for those that remain Time is short – let’s dig our own graves too Come let’s gorge children out of their mother’s wombs Let us taste the blood of our brothers Come let’s keep ready swords, tridents, batons Sharpen the knives for the coming sacrifice Come let’s shoot and throw grenades Spray bullets in courtyards and finish children Come let’s enumerate streets and shops Let’s enjoy burning the living Come here – identify yourself – get naked Classify yourself – this or that Right now there is an eerie silence everywhere Right now the riots have stopped Humanity has vanished right now Right now the cemetery is in season Come let’s search for humanity Right now the sun is hidden The night is never-ending And has become my shadow ? Come let’s destroy all hope Let’s plunge the valley in darkness

there is no inspiration.these are the lines that just flowed through me like a wound after the riots in Gujrat.the wound can't heal...
