Sands in the Glass

by Charles Mathew Tyner III - Scorpio

The sands of time continue to flow.
Hurrying essenses to a destiny unknown.
Where will we end up and who will we meet?
How long does it take, who will we see?
Does life end at death or will your soul live on?
Will the harmony of the universe learn another song?
Plagues and pestilences continue to destroy lives.
Seeing children with tears of blood in their eyes.
Why oh why does this continue to happen?
This life seems to be a form of entrapment.
Eyes continue to burn as we see all this pass.
Please, someone, break the damn hourglass.

Reason for writing:

I'm tired of seeing all of the pain in this world. It's starting to tear apart my soul. I hope that this will all be over soon. It hurts too much.
