That long game has come to an end. There is no longer any need to pretend.
Reason for writing:
Just finished a game of 'rat' chess. Like ordinary chess, except one of the players is allowed to cheat, and the other one is not. And there are no clocks. I don't care much for rat chess, preferring real chess. And I also prefer to play with clocks. But I won the game. Although they don't use clocks in rat chess, there is a time limit, and my opponent, a notorious procrastinator, lost on time, in a position where he was paralyzed by indecision and fear. There are two types of people who play rat chess - those who are allowed to cheat, and those who are not allowed to cheat. Needless to say, it is the cheats who prefer rat chess to real chess, and my opponent was one of the cheats, consulting. Lest there be any confusion, the cheats come in all shapes, sizes and guises. The moral of this story is simple - don't cheat.
