Dreams

by Sweetp - Sagittarius

Falling asleep is something I've come to dread,
Just one more reoccuring dream,
The answers to the puzzle all in my head,
Locked away so that they can't be seen.

I'm so somber I hear myself say,
You make me,
The rest of the words are hidden, locked away.
Somewhere in my head lays the key.

I take the bottle of pills,
And my eyes slowly become cloudy,
Down my spine flows the chills,
From a heart that has become stormy.

I fidget with the gun,
The bullets don't seem to fit,
My subconscious saving me from,
Things my mind doesn't admit.

Awake I realize once again,
I was dreaming piece by piece.
The horror of this dream begins,
As reality slowly tends to increase.

Reason for writing:

A reoccuring bad dream, that I can't seem to shake.
