Every Morning

by e. h. - Libra

every morning
as my coffee drips
and my neighbor waits
on his dog to piss

i turn up the stereo
      Loud

and wait by the glass
door for him to stand
by the gate

then we DANCE

a man of nearly 60
and a girl
of 26

gyrating and shaking
down the dawn of the day
the morning momentarily
on pause

until the song ends
and we wave and grin

off on our own separate
       ways
