i was gone all summer. i missed her birthday. and her party. and when i finally came back the biggest storm of the year was right behind me. she was waiting for me on the steps across the street. "he's back!" she yelled she told me about her brothers new card trick, then shouted: come look at my radio present! inside her house the wind lifted the yellow curtains and blew the screen door shut. she said: listen to this as she turned it on. outside her windows purple coulds rolled, and as an arc of lightning splashed the sky- the national anthem, by jimi hendrix was interrupted by a thunderstorm warning. she whispered: i am glad your back. and then held my hand. we were seeing things a brand new way, hearing music on her brand new radio.Birth sign: Taurus
