Take my love away, 
And you might as well have taken my soul,
For I have never learned how to stay,
Or my heart has never learned how to let go.

Tape my mouth shut with your sarcasm,
Never allowing me to speak my mind,
Or broaden my emotional spectrum,
To search within me to find,

That without my love and my soul,
Happiness will leak from my veins,
And my body will forever know,
Only emotional and physical pains.

For without your love my heart will surely break,
Without your strength my bones will surely deteriorate,
Without your wisdom my mind will surely deflate,
Without your intelligence my spirit will surely contemplate,

Its next and final resting place,
For my spirit is untrusting as is my soul,
For our two hearts are entwined in an embrace,
That forever threatens our control…
