Dear God

by Chritty - Aries

Dear God it’s me again
I know we have these moments quite often
I’m not here to complain that must be a big relief
and I’m not here to share my grief
I’m here to thank you
for all the wonderful things you do
there are a few things I would like to say
if you don’t mind
First I want to compliment you on a little miracle
that not many people have discovered yet
the smile what a beautiful sight
I discovered it for the first time
I knew it was always there but I just recently experienced it
and I must admit I was quite impressed
and the reactions that I recieved
once I showed my pearly white teeth
thank you for the sun that warms me on a cold day
and thank you for the lovely flowers that bloom in may
the one’s that I can’t wait to see
and thank you for children without them there would be no
reason for living
they bring happiness and innocence into a chaotic world
thank you for the food that fills me up each night
I know that Iam lucky to know the feel of hunger
but also the satisfaction of a full stomach
thank you for pain without it we wouldnt be human
and for the love that takes it away and replaces it with peace and
comfort
thank you for my father who has done so much for me
without him I would be alone and lost
thank you for the forgiveness in my heart
thank you for my brothers who I sometimes despise
although they annoy me I still love those goofy guys
thank you for first kisses and crushes
for fear and anger , pride and defeat
for happiness
broken hearts and sweet little touches
thanks for the rythm of the rain that hits my roof
when Im lying awake at night in my room
thank you for kind people that care
and lots of good memories that I share
there are so many things to be thankful for
but Im just thankful that I have you
I am grateful of all the wonderful things you do
and I know you will be around always
through and through night and day
thank you
