she looked at me and said ‘everything will be okay, it always is.’ ‘sometimes you just have to close your eyes for awhile and think of happier times, happier places – that’s where you find what you need to get through it.’ ‘it reminds you that whatever’s happening right now, won’t last forever.’ our time together was short. they had picked her up for prostitution, she needed representation as the state would be making the decision as to what happened to her next. that was her life, always someone else in control, making decisions about what happened to her next. the first time we met was spent with me getting to know her. i learned that her stepfather and four stepbrothers started the molestation when she was three. she didn’t remember the first time, she only knew because her mother would show her pictures that had been taken, while telling her how much she hated her. she ran away from home at 5, because the men in her life had taken a liking to sticking random objects inside of her – just to see what they could make fit and how far they could get whatever it was 'in.' she lived on the streets, and finally found a friend in a 15 year old boy, named Fredo, who ‘hooked’ at truck stops. he showed her the ropes sometimes they worked together, she liked that, it made her feel safe. they had picked her up for prostitution, she needed representation as the state would be making the decision as to what happened to her next. she was seven years old. before walking into the chambers, i asked her if she was scared and she looked at me and said ‘everything will be okay, it always is.’ ‘ sometimes you just have to close your eyes for awhile and think of happier times, happier places – that’s where you find what you need to get through it.’ ‘it reminds you that whatever’s happening right now, won’t last forever.’ she was seven years old. and we were in control about to make decisions for her life. we – those of us who knew but refused to admit, by just looking in her eyes, we – we don’t know shit.Birth sign: Virgo
