You've seen it before, a million times Man walks out of his club and drops two dimes And it's picked up by a rather attractive male Who smiles blandly and moves off, and you feel you've failed. Resentful and disgusted, you walk south toward your car But you're drunker than hell, and most are drunker than you are And it becomes a harangue about how "NO ONE LOVES ME" I might as well be unwelcome, chased up a tree What light through yonder window breaks? Said Willie, but he didn't figure they'd all be fake And you've seen the light, but it turns into dark You get the idea that you know where you've parked A male bumps into you, but you pay him no mind It was preordained, that's the one you'd find But you're fucking fucked, you look for old tricks but they care less about you than they do about their dicks Memory is changing, you don't know what's going down A smile met with a laugh, a sneer with a frown Stumbling away from this, you try your best to think But it's unconnected, to your brain there's no link And then you wake up, you're in your car And then it comes to you, you're parked in front of the bar! And you start the engine, and drive away from the 'hood a lot later than you usually do, and much more than you should What time should you come out, tomorrow night? And this time the ritual, will finally be done right.
