Tribute to the Unknown

by Binu Tharakan - Taurus

The evening breeze came late
Mist and drizzle followed by
And no more fragrance today
And no more fragrance today

Away in the wilderness
Those noisy wings flew away from the lake

Below in the plates
A crawling reality raised its hood

In the near by tree trunk, rotten to its core
A worried motherhood fed its nestle in hurry

The grazing herd heard the news in disbelief
The praying mantis kept quite for a while
The moving caterpillar raised its head in courage

And the evening breeze came late and wept
For no more fragrance to share
For no more fragrance to share
