Upon the cobbled streets of this town, I made my way. Through Faded grey facades of yesterday, I walked away. The mighty ships, those once were builded here. All disappeared. The scrapyards full of memories of better years. Where hardy Stevedores strode stiffly from their terraced homes, And ruddy women toiled upon their allotment loams. A lowly life amongst the grim decay of this place. In my face.Is no disgrace. For honest men gave something more than honest sweat. They put their backs into their industries. Took what they could get. The working class – The welder and the foundryman. With a sullied hand.worked to build this land. This England!Birth sign: Gemini
