another innocent life

another innocent baby born
another innocent baby brought into this messed up world
with parents it will someday disown
for making their life a living hell
less than twenty four hours old
and daddy's no where to be seen
mommy is still strung out
on that crack and weed 
grandma came by
to see your sweet face
she promised to remain by your side
until you were ready to take your place
in this messed up world
your mommy is so pretty
but she didnt care
the whole time she was pregnant 
she did her share of drinking
or loving strangers
she never went to  her doctor appointments
she didn't want to hear the lectures 
such a sad sad sight 

yesterday another innocent baby
was brought into this messed up world 
big brown eyes and such a sweet face
already a disgrace
to the two people
you will grow to disown
when they mess up your life
the way they did their own
