Back to Bed

by J James - Pisces

Hollowed halls echo
with faint yells bellowing
across yellowed walls
small whistling comes from
a locked red door
on the 3rd floor
I walked slowly to
the foot of the bed
climbed in like a wild cub
in the dead of winter
laid my head on pillows
and filled my fist full
of blanket that whispered
your name on the small of my back
you tiptoed around the mattress
in a dress that trailed behind you
like my courage does me

Reason for writing:

another short one i think i wrote on a whim...whateva lol
