Hollowed halls echo with faint yells bellowing across yellowed walls small whistling comes from a locked red door on the 3rd floor I walked slowly to the foot of the bed climbed in like a wild cub in the dead of winter laid my head on pillows and filled my fist full of blanket that whispered your name on the small of my back you tiptoed around the mattress in a dress that trailed behind you like my courage does me
