A lovers knot
Silent in a dewy damp clamp
Done; complete;
Exhale a unison of sinew taught breath
And loosen
Bodies soften; unpick the weave
And turn 
To meet sleep’s first
Fat contentment;
A cool sheet;
Lover’s parting drift
Save a kissing toe sliding across the bed
Searching in the afterglow
The lie of your leg
The round of your calf
The flat of your heal
Back to back – feel
Sole to sole
The final love touch
