he put the coke
in the refrigerator
sesame chicken
on the side
everything's as it
should be
his pillow next to mine
there's peace in all
the little things
something on which to
hold on tight
and he's lying here
beside me
if only for tonight
tomorrow will come
morning
and he'll head on
out the door
and i'll heat up
the chinese food
when i come home
from work
i'll pour Jack in
with the soda
and lay on both
sides of the bed
and think of all
the little things
remembering what
he said
