I am pregnant with words too young to birth
Embedded in the womb of a kiss
And when we lock eyes
They assemble in that blatant gaze
Unuttered replies to unasked questions
Unfettered; gloriously careless children
Of guarded minds
Fearless optimistic urchins
Who leapfrog ‘wise’, ‘slow’ and ‘careful’
Eager to be born
