ocean of cause and effect

by Lee J. - Aquarius

Long leaves collapsed silently
as fire spent embers awakened
inside a dream…nibbling on a view
of the ocean…instinctive folds of wide
sleeves, lapping a pathway of gravel

I was the fool in white,
in bomb proofed walls

fresh scented eyes, weaving through an
ocean breeze, overlooking a high fence
of dark water, where four arms spanned
like Bose speakers
spreading out across the oceans
with a boisterous voice
of power filled climate
growing calluses of innocence
looking into the stained sunset
of a special relationship

one that was over before it started

humming….while peeling back years from
wind-tangled hair of kept records
placed everywhere from the dreams
of sun shadows in orbit
lightly capped horizons of identity
running away from defeat

only children would overlook & step
into the hemmed purple reeds of black water
testing if they were still human
remembering feelings
of wrinkles and scowls
twas the nature of the beast…I suppose
gaining courage
like an army approaching mortality
against the doors of a clubhouse,
invisible yet universal, organisms
conjuring wisdom from the undivided
paradise, looking it’s best
having the power to decide my life

perhaps with a bit of luck,
colors would melt into drifted rainbows
adjacent a park, underneath a rose arbor
where superheros come from
it was easy to imagine
junior partners of balloons
confirming the image
he had created
then….

crusading spirit, best of the best
magic mirror selling favorable impression
struggling the thin membrane of friendship
heavy botanical scent fills the air
fat drops of rain on the widescreen
of some mirage of the day
when all is soaked to the skin
with the wreckage of some disenchanted
resignation…

time, though, separates us from the moments
which never stands still…

Reason for writing:

lost love, hords of inspiration learned
out of all loss comes beauty
