Fat Grapes

Strong and resolute stand smart sentinels
To out sapling bed
To foil the spoilers of love
The whims and fallacies that cheat 
Speak cheap riches 
And spit bitter consequences
Trust and belief
Set sapling vines a firm stake
‘til in time
The bower is wove
An unfathomable knot
And drops with fat grape in perpetuity
Its rich fusion
Our sweet communion cup
Still the watchmen sleep not.
